1. How can I determine what Westmoreland County currently has available for competitive bidding?

2. How do I get on your bid list so that future bids and RFPs will be sent to me?

Visit our web page and select the "Bids" link and then look for and select the "Notify Me of Bid Opportunities" link. You will then have the opportunity to select the type of bid categories that match up with you area of interest.

3. Who do I contact with bid questions?

Each bid or RFP has contact information included in the invitation to bid and specifications.

4. How can I request a copy of the bid tabulation on a particular bid?

Bid Tabulation sheets may be requested following the bid opening. They will also be posted as a related document to the bid and will be available on the website after the bid is awarded.

5. Where do I submit my bid proposal?

Bids and RFPs must be RECEIVED in the Controller's Office no later than the date and time indicated in the specification. Bids may be mailed, express shipped or delivered in person during normal business hours.

Bids and RFPs may not be submitted by fax or email.

6. Can I submit a bid if I am not on the list?

You may submit a bid or proposal regardless of whether you are registered to be notified of bids and proposals.

7. What about bonds and insurance requirements?

Bonds ad insurance certificates may be required for various bids and proposals. These requirements will be specified in each invitation to Bid/Specification document.

8. Can I inquire as to what vendors have submitted bids/proposals on a particular bid?

To insure the integrity of the bidding process, the list of vendors submitting bid/proposal packages is held in strict confidence until the packages are opened in public.

9. Can I withdraw a bid after it has been submitted?

You may withdraw a bid by submitting a request in writing prior to the deadline for submitting the bid.
