Westmoreland County Government Limited to Essential Functions

The Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners has decided to limit Westmoreland County government to essential functions only beginning Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00 am running through April 30, 2020, pursuant to both federal and state guidelines.

Effective Monday, March 30, 2020: Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office will issue Gun Permits by appointment only. Call 724-830-3457 to make an appointment. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday; 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Please be advised that according to Title 18, Section 6106 b(12) as long as you are eligible to renew your license, said license is still valid for six months beyond the printed expiration date on the license.

The Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging is announcing the closure of all Senior Centers and Satellite Centers effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice due to concerns about the 2019-novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
