FARMER’S MARKET VOUCHERS AVAILABLE

The 2023 Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program provides eligible seniors with vouchers to purchase produce grown in Pennsylvania.  This program, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture provides $50.00 worth of checks to be used at participating Farmer’s Markets from June 1, 2023 until November 30, 2023. Applicants must bring proof of age and residency

 Examples of proof are:

  • Driver’s license
  • Photo identification card
  • AAA transportation card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Utility receipts

Social Security and Medicare cards are not acceptable forms of identification.  

Individuals must be age 60 or older (as of December 31, 2023), be a Westmoreland County resident and meet income guidelines: less than $26,973.00 a year for one person, or less than $36,482.00 a year for a couple . 

There is a one-time sign-up per season. You can also apply at the Area Agency on Aging office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., mail an application to the AAA, or apply on line.  Mail-in applications will not be processed until after July 1, 2023 and must be received by September 15, 2023.
