On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), as part of the monthly stakeholder meeting, conducted a Telehealth Question & Answer presentation with special focus on the new verbal consent requirements.
  
It is recommended that all providers carefully review the overview and crosswalk the information with efforts in implementing the standards in the new telehealth bulletin, including the verbal consent requirement. As outlined in the linked presentation slides, these new consent requirements will not go into effect until January 1, 2023.
