DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a County Fiscal Officer 1 with the Westmoreland County BHDS office, you will prepare and file all necessary reports, review and monitor program budgets, receipts, expenditures, and other departmental financial data. You will assist the management team with long range planning, create vouchers for provider payments and other various expenditures.
You will also perform provider reviews of requests for payments and other expenditures, monitors all contracts and review cost allocation and perform cost settlement of program providers. Compares yearly audits from provider agencies against BHDS Department payment records.
You will also have the opportunity to meet with provider, county, state or federal government officials and representatives and assist in year-end closing activities, including determination of provider agency accounts receivable and accounts. Also assisting Administrator and Department Heads in Rate Development for services provided. HealthChoices and RMTS (Random Moment Time Study) oversight and preparation - contacts with community partners.
