Autism Urban Connections Inc. is excited to present an “Ask the Doctor” session on Thursday, February 10th from 4:30-6:30pm with Dr. Alexis Franks, MD of the Child Development Unit of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Alexis Franks, MD graduated from the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine in 2012 and completed her residency training in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2018. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Child Neurology and the Associate Program Director for the Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Residency Program at UPMC. Her research interests include studying the neurodevelopmental consequences of perinatal exposures to glucocorticoids and cannabinoids. Clinically, she practices at the Child Development Unit at UPMC, where she has the privilege to help care for children with a wide range of neurodevelopmental disabilities, including conditions and autism spectrum disorders.
