Winter brings changes in weather, light, and activities. In addition, some people experience challenges with isolation and mood, as well as complex feelings and experiences related to winter holidays.
The inclement weather can also interfere with plans and routines, which can be a source of frustration. In this series, different ideas and strategies will be explored to effectively navigate this season.
These and many other related themes will be explored:
- Identify personal strengths in maintaining and increasing winter wellness.
- Describe the critical role of physical activity, diet, and preventive medical care for winter wellness.
- Identify tools and strategies for staff to promote self-care and wellness in the workplace.
- Identify personal strategies for improving and maintaining healthy sleep routines.
This series is intended for HealthChoices members, their families, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, certified peer specialists, and others interested in behavioral health services. The conference is free of charge and includes continuing education credits.
