The Kepro HCQU invites you to save Friday, June 4th, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for a free webinar on working with individuals with intellectual disability/autism as society begins to re-open after the COVID-19 pandemic. The presenters include Dr. John Goldman, MD, an epidemiologist and Vice President of Medical Affairs at UPMC Pinnacle Hospitals; and Dr. Ruth Myers, MD, medical director at The Community Circle PLLC and a neurological psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience working with individuals who have ID/A.
Dr. Goldman will present an overview of COVID-19 and discuss epidemiology, clinical presentation, testing, treatment, prevention, and vaccination.
Dr. Myers will discuss how the COVID 19 pandemic presents unique health risks to persons with ID/A and the various responses among different systems. This presentation will offer details of responses and the outcomes data associated with these differing approaches.
This three-hour webinar will provide 3 American Psychological Association continuing education credits for psychologists, licensed professional counselors, social workers, nurses, and others who provide services to those with intellectual disabilities and autism (ID/A).
