Due to the Covid-19 threat to the public at large and Recorder of Deeds personnel, as well as Governor Wolf’s order to close all businesses that are not life sustaining, the Recorder of Deeds’ Office will be closed to the public, but the office is staffed to meet the duties and responsibilities of the Office. Our operations will NOT stop.
We are accepting documents to be recorded by mail or by overnight carrier. Recordings will be processed in the order in which items were received. The County mailroom is open for mail and deliveries.
If you would like to drop off documents in person to be recorded, you may give them to a member of Park Police at the main entrance of the courthouse. They will be given 1st priority as they come in. Please include a stamped and self-addressed return envelope for your documents and receipt to be mailed to you, otherwise they will sit in a folder at the office until walk ins are resumed, at which time you will be required to personally retrieve your document(s).
The Recorder of Deeds copy center will be open to the public by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call the office to schedule an appointment. If you are a notary and in need of swearing in, please contact our office to schedule an appointment. If you meet with Recorder of Deeds personnel by appointment, please exercise appropriate social distancing, coughing, sneezing and illness practices. If you are exhibiting any COVID-19 related symptoms or have been in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19, please refrain from making an appointment with our office until you have been medically cleared.
We understand that time is of the essence when recording documents. The Recorder of Deeds is committed to serving the community at this time.
While we are closed to the public, we want to assure the public that we are present to process documents and answer questions via phone (724-830-3518) and email ([email protected]).
