The SBA held a workshop in Connellsville this week to educate veterans and partner agencies about free resources for those starting or sustaining a business. staff from Seton Hill University's Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities, the Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center spoke about free mentoring and business assistance available in Greensburg and Latrobe, respectively.
David Pinkosky, Specialist with the SBA Government Contracting Opportunity spoke about becoming a certified vendor to contract to federal and state agencies for women, veterans (service disabled and not), and socially disadvantaged business owners.
The speakers emphasized that whether you need a business plan, marketing or human resources advice, or information on succession when it's time to exit the business, no veteran should pay for these services. Contact the individual agencies for more information.
