The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit is partnering with Intermediate Unit 1 to offer free Adult Basic & Literacy Education classes.
- · Benefits: Our education classes help students improve their reading, writing, and math skills to prepare them for GED® exams, high school equivalency exams, post-secondary entrance exams, and jobs.
- · Eligibility: Students 17 years of age or older who have legally withdrawn from high school are eligible to attend classes. We also accept students who already possess a GED® or diploma and want to improve their reading, writing, and math skills.
- · Locations: We offer classes at 7 Westmoreland County locations including Greensburg, Jeannette, Latrobe, Monessen, New Kensington, Scottdale, and Youngwood.
- · Scholarships: GED® exam scholarships may be available if students score high enough on the practice exams.
