Thursday, July 11th - Veterans Job Fair at Heinz Field, from 11AM-3PM 

Gardening Workshops for Veterans at the Butler VA:
            Thursday, July 11th - Gardening Workshop for Veterans: Basic Botany, at the Butler VA, from 10AM-12PM.  

            Thursday, July 25th - Gardening Workshop for Veterans: Plant Propagation, at the Butler VA, from 10AM-12PM.

            Thursday, July 18th - Gardening Workshop for Veterans: Soil Health & Fertilizer Management, at the Butler VA, from 10AM-12PM. This is part 2 in a 4-part series of gardening                    workshops to be hosted by the Butler VA this summer. 

           Registration is required for these FREE workshops. 

Saturday, July 13th - Yoga & Smoothies event at Veterans Leadership Program, from 10AM-12PM. FREE childcare will be provided onsite. This event is open to Women Veterans and women service providers from local VSO's. RSVP required to Patti at 412-254-3194 or [email protected] (see the "Yoga&Smoothies" attachment for more info).

Tuesday, July 16th - Veterans Suicide Awareness Day at the Westmoreland County Courthouse, from 9AM-4PM (see the "2019VeteranSuicideAwarenessDayFlyer" for more information).

Wednesday, July 17th - Veterans Learn to Row & Paddle with Three Rivers Rowing Association, from 6:30-8PM. Registration is required for this event with Patti at 412-254-3194).

Sunday, July 21st - Yoga & Smoothies event at Veterans Leadership Program, from 10AM-12PM. FREE childcare will be provided onsite. This event is open to Women Veterans and women service providers from local VSO's. RSVP required to Patti at 412-254-3194 or [email protected] (see the "Yoga&Smoothies" attachment for more info).

Thursday, July 25th - Veterans Write at the Pittsburgh Vet Center from 6-7:30PM. Contact Ryan Ahl at 412-920-1765 for more information 

Friday, July 26th - Saturday, July 27th - FREE Dental Clinic for adults and children (2 and older) at PPG Paints Arena, from 6AM-6PM. Shuttle service is available to and from this event. No appointments required; first come, first serve.

Friday, July 26th - Women Veterans Luncheon at VLP, from 11AM-12PM. This month our speaker is Christie Hudson, who is a Therapist at the White Oak Vet Center. FREE childcare will be available onsite for this event; lunch is provided. RSVP required to Patti at 412-254-3194 or [email protected] (see the "JulyWVG" attachment for more info).

Saturday, July 27th - VLP Women Veterans Potluck Party, from 5-9PM in Murrysville, PA. Bring yourself, your significant other/kiddos/grandkids, and your favorite dish! Please see the "PotluckFlyer" attachment for more information. RSVP required to Patti at 412-254-3194 or [email protected].

Monday, July 29th - Veterans Write at the White Oak Vet Center from 6-8PM. Contact Lee Wagner at 412-678-7704 for more information (see the "VeteransWriteWhiteOak" attachment for more information).

Also this month, we are highlighting events in partnership with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing! VLP and Project Healing Waters will be partnering this fall to take a group of women veterans on one of their fly fishing day-trips. Checkout one of the events below this month, and see if fly fishing is for you! *Project Healing Waters programs are open and FREE to all veterans with a disability rating. 

FLY TYING & ROD BUILDING CLASSES:
ASPINWALL VA - Every Monday from 3-5pm (July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, & 29th)
UPPER ST CLAIR - Every 4th Wednesday, 6:30pm (July 24)
WHITE OAK VET CENTER - Every 1st and 3rd Friday, 11am (July 5 & 19)
LAWRENCEVILLE - Every 2nd & 4th Thursday, 6:30pm (July 11 & 25)
