A message from Duquesne University: The public is cordially invited to a special Vietnamese Dinner on Wednesday March 20 from 4:30-7:30pm in the Sean Hogan Dining Center in Towers. This special menu will include:
Pho Noodle Soup, Egg Rolls (Vegetarian Spring Roll), Fried Rice, Lemongrass Chicken served with sticky rice and Asian vegetable stir-fry, Bahn Mi Sandwich, Vietnamese Chicken Salad with shredded cabbage, radish, and lemon, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee.
This wonderful dinner will be an educational opportunity for the Duquesne community to interact with Vietnam Veterans, meet Veterans and their Service Dogs (and learn about the importance of Service Dogs), engage with members of Friends of Danang (a Pittsburgh-based organization which does humanitarian work aimed at children in Vietnam) and meet staff from Duquesne's Office of Military/Veterans Affairs. Duquesne alumni currently serving in the military or have served in the military will also be present. A highlight of the evening will be a question & answer session with Vietnam Veterans regarding their experiences that will start at approximately 6pm. Period music will be broadcast throughout the evening.
This dinner is available for a meal swipe for all students currently in a meal plan and only $5 per/person for all guests. Veterans participating in the program can eat for free courtesy of the Office of Residence Life.
