Delmont Girl Scout Rebecca Schlisser was honored for receiving her Silver Scout award today in North Huntingdon at the annual Westmoreland Association of Township Supervisors' meeting, where she received their 2018 Youth Award. 

Rebecca led the effort of Troop 24142  to fund and put in place a granite bench, a 25-foot flagpole, inscribed pavers, a garden and an information kiosk honoring veterans. They raised  $3,700 from the community for the project, which also included identifying and mapping Eastview cemetery graves of veterans.
