[ARCHIVED] USDA Rural Development loans/grants for housing repair for low-income elderly

If the recent winds damaged your home resulting in health/safety concerns, please be aware of this program. Not all locations are eligible. Contact your local Rural Development office as shown below for details.

USDA Rural Development Housing Repair Program – This program offer loans and/or grants to very-low income homeowners to repair, improve, or modernize their home, or grants for very-low income elderly homeowners (age 62+) to remove health and/or safety hazards, or remodel for accessibility for a household member with a disability. Please Click Here to visit our website to obtain more information. Loans to $20,000 are available at a fixed rate of 1% for a term of 20 years. Grants up to $7500 (lifetime limit) are available for elderly households that cannot demonstrate an ability to repay a loan.
