GREENSBURG (February 21) – The Board of Directors for the Westmoreland County Land Bank today announced a “2019 Property Sale” through the end of March on residential lots. The limited time promotion will offer land bank properties at a discounted price of $2,019 plus closing costs and fees to incentivize new investment from prospective buyers.  

The 2019 Sale properties are residential lots located in the communities of Derry Borough, Allegheny Township, City of Greensburg, and Hempfield Township. The Land Bank, in partnership with the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Westmoreland demolished blighted structures on the lots to make way for new growth.

According to Chairperson David Johnston, “The motivation behind the sale is to spark stabilization within neighborhoods and recruit development back to the once blighted sites”.
