[ARCHIVED] Toys for Tots sign-up in Latrobe

Toys for Tots registration set for this month

Families who want to be included in the annual Toys for Tots Program this Christmas season must sign up between the times of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 18 and Nov. 24 and 25 at the Latrobe American Legion on 1811 Ligonier Street in Latrobe.

To receive the toys, families must meet certain guidelines for eligibility and must provide all of the following information at the sign up:

• Must be on the free lunch program at the child’s school (provide letter from school or caseworker) or be receiving some type of public assistance (Access, Chip, Medical, etc.);

• Children up to the age of 12 are eligible (copy of birth certificate required);

• Must have child’s Social Security card or copy of it to sign up (tax return form SSN also accepted).

No late sign ups will be accepted. For more information, visit the website www.toysfortots.org.

The Latrobe Bulletin is again participating in the Toys for Tots campaign sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps League.

Those who want to donate shoulld bring new, unwrapped toys before Dec. 13 to the Bulletin business office, which is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is located at 1211 Ligonier St., Latrobe (across the street from Holy Family Church).
