Visitors to the County Courthouse will notice new flags snapping smartly in the breeze as of Thursday, October 18th. In a noontime ceremony, Commissioners Gina Cerilli, Ted Kopas, and Charles Anderson, and Director of Veterans Affairs Matt Zamosky were joined by an honor guard from VFW Post 33 as the old standards were replaced by new ones. PA Rep. Conor Lamb provided the United States flag, which flew over the U.S. Capitol, and the POW flag. Sen. Jim Brewster provided the Commonwealth flag. Westmoreland County Public Works employees John Stevenson and Lance Lenhert assisted with the flag raising.
