Visitors to the County Courthouse will notice new flags waving proudly in the breeze as of Thursday, October 18th. In a noontime ceremony, Commissioners Gina Cerilli, Ted Kopas, and Charles Anderson, and Director of Veterans Affairs were joined by an honor guard from VFW Post 33 as the old standards were replaced by new ones. Sen. Jim Brewster provided a National Emblem that flew over the U.S. Capitol. PA Rep. Conor Lamb provided the Commonwealth and POW flags. Westmoreland County Public Works employees John Stevenson and Lance Lenhert assisted with the flag raising.
