September is Hunger Action Month, when we ask everyone in America to take action to fight hunger in their community, all month long. Hunger Action Month is an opportunity to join a movement that has a real and lasting impact on our effort to feed more people in Westmoreland County than ever before. Whether it’s by advocating and raising awareness, making donations, or volunteering, individuals can find the way that’s right for them to make a difference during Hunger Action Month.
Join the Westmoreland County Food Bank on Thursday, September 6, as it formally launches Hunger Action Month with its annual Partnership Luncheon and Awards program. This year we will be honoring:
Agency of the Year: St. Agnes/St. Elizabeth Ann Seton – St. Vincent DePaul
Donor of the Year: The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County
11th Annual Partner of the Year: Donna Carr – Military Share Program
