[ARCHIVED] Labor Day Celebration at Northmoreland Park, September 2 & 3

Labor United Celebration stage


The 39th annual Labor United Celebration will be held at Northmoreland Park on Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 2 and Monday, September 3. Event hours are 11:00am to 7:00pm Sunday, and 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday. There will be lots of fun things to do for the whole family: great music, delicious food, carnival rides, a stunt show, games and more! This event has free admission and free parking.

The Zerbini Family Circus is back again with high flying acrobatics, amazing animals, and spectacular stunts! Show times are Sunday at 12:00 noon, 3:30pm, and 5:00pm, and Monday at 11:00am, 2:30pm, and 4:30pm. Visitors will be amazed at this old-fashioned, family-owned Circus show under the big top!

The Labor United Celebration features lively musical entertainment for all ages! On Sunday, local band Kaelber will perform an eclectic mix of rock fused with punk, funk, and metal to create a truly unique sound; The High Ryder Band will get the audience in a Country state of mind; and The Good Guys Band will perform your favorite classic rock hits.

A Labor United Celebration tradition, Chuck Blasko and the Vogues will be performing their classic hits on Monday such as “Turn Around Look At Me” and “Five O’Clock World.” Also performing on Monday are The Townsmen Plus One, playing a variety of songs sure to get the whole family singing along!

Also featured is That Guy With The Birds, who will be wowing crowds with his beautiful feathered friends! Sunday show times are 12:00pm, 3:00pm, and 5:00pm; Monday show times are 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm.

There will be plenty of fun rides for kids at the celebration. An “All Day Ride Pass” can be purchased for only four dollars, which offers unlimited use of all of the carnival amusement rides, a petting zoo, and horse drawn trolley rides.

Other attractions at the event include bingo, an arts and crafts marketplace featuring over 50 exhibitors, Pittsburgh Pirate alumni autographs, delicious food and refreshments, and a giant flea market with over 120 vendors.

The Labor United Celebration is presented by the Labor United Celebration, Inc. and the Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation. Northmoreland Park is located in Allegheny Township and is accessible via State Route 356 from State Routes 56, 66 and 28.
