Harrisburg, PA – Acting Secretary of State Robert Torres has informed Pennsylvania’s counties to have voter-verifiable paper record voting systems selected no later than December 31, 2019, and preferably in place by the November 2019 general election. He also announced the Commonwealth will receive nearly $14 million in federal funding to assist counties with replacement.
In accordance with this notification from the Department of State, Westmoreland County is pleased to announce dates for the public to come to the Westmoreland County Courthouse to view the voting equipment.
All demonstrations will be held from 4:00pm – 7:00 pm in the Commissioners public meeting rooms.
Election Systems and Software will present voting equipment to the public on June 20thDominion Voting Systems will present voting equipment to the public on June 28thUnisyn Voting Solutions will present voting equipment to the public on July 9thHart InterCivic will present voting equipment to the public on July 23rdWestmoreland County Election Bureau encourages you to take advantage of this time to have your voice heard during this process. You are welcome to attend one or all of the demonstrations. You will receive a survey to complete after attending the event to allow you to provide feedback to this office.
