Greensburg Salem High School will host a Dodge for Dementia dodgeball tournament from 10 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. April 7 in the high school gymnasium.
The fundraiser, which was organized by Greensburg Salem National Honor Society students, will raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association and World Vision. The public is welcome to attend. Admission is $2 per person.
The tournament includes teams from local school districts and area businesses. Thirty-two teams from the Greensburg Salem, Franklin Regional, Penn-Trafford, Greater Latrobe, Hempfield Area, Mount Pleasant Area, Burrell Area, The Kiski School, Valley High School, Laurel Highlands, Southmoreland and Connellsville Area school districts are slated to compete.
A representative from the Alzheimer’s Association will speak at the event. Employees representing New Haven Court, Senior Helpers, Alzheimer’s Association, Westmoreland Manor, Excela Health, Walden’s View, Greensburg Care Center, Twilight Wish Foundation, TLC and Greensburg Salem Education Foundation will also be in attendance.
