Pa. National Guard Facility Breaks Ground On New Training Facility At Fort Indiantown Gap:
The busiest National Guard training facility in the country has broken ground on a new $11.5 million building, and officials say it was a long time coming. The training operation at Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County, has grown exponentially in the aftermath of 9/11. In just the last three years, it helped prepare over 130,000 service members from all branches of the military, and also worked with law enforcement officers. Read more.

Thanks to the dedication and continued support from Pennsylvanians, Cumberland County, PA., has found a photo for each of its veterans who died as a result of the Vietnam War. The final photo was of Army Staff Sgt. Emmet L. Dressler of Carlisle, PA. Dressler died on Nov. 11, 1965, at the age of 26. Rebuild Erie’s Three Forts Presque Isle?:
Erie native Carl Anderson grew up on the 500 block of East Sixth Street of Erie, PA (Erie County) and fondly recalls spending many childhood days with friends playing football on the grounds next to the Wayne Blockhouse at East Second and Ash streets. “In those days, on Saturday mornings, there would be a caretaker there who would open the blockhouse," said Anderson, 50, an Erie County Council member whose occupation involves historical research. The remains of Army Air Force 2nd Lt. Stanley F. Stegnerski, 25, of Chester, PA, that have been unaccounted for since WWII, have been identified by the POW/MIA Accounting Agency and will be returned to his family and buried with full military honors on Jan. 22, 2018 in Millsboro, Del. Read more.
