Adelphoi Middle Creek Male Secure residential program named first in Pa.
Adelphoi’s Middle Creek Male Secure residential program has been named number one in Pennsylvania by the Juvenile’s Court Judges Commission, and will be honored at the annual James E. Anderson Pennsylvania Conference on Juvenile Justice this November.
The JCJC Residential Program of the Year award goes to a superior residential program for alleged or adjudicated delinquent youth, including foster homes, group homes, residential treatment facilities, detention centers, independent living programs, and other programs that provide residential care to children.
Since 2005, Adelphoi’s programs have been recognized by the JCJC six times. This year’s recognition is based on Adelphoi’s use of evidenced-based practices, demonstration of adherence to the principles of Balanced and Restorative Justice, and advancement of Pa.’s Juvenile Justice System Enhancement Strategy. The Middle Creek Male Secure was particularly nominated in part because Adelphoi’s residential programs provide individual attention by trained professionals in a caring and respectful home-like environment.
“We are honored to yet again have one of our programs recognized by the JCJC,” said Karyn Pratt, Adelphoi director of marketing and development.
“Acknowledgments like these are a true testament to not only the high quality services we provide to children, youth and families, but also to the dedication of our staff to put the methodology behind our practices into positive action on the daily basis.”
