Out Of The Darkness Walks Throughout Pennsylvania:
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is requesting volunteers to be the military point of contact for the following walks: Athens Walk, Elk County Walk, Clinton County Walk, Erie Walk, Huntingdon County Walk, Harrisburg Walk, Greater Northeast Walk, Sunbury Walk, Lewistown Walk and Greater Lycoming County Walk. AFSP is a civilian non-profit organization committed to raising awareness, funding scientific research, and providing resources and aids to those affected by suicide. Your role will be to assist the veterans, service members, and their families who come to the table with the resources. You will share what it is like to be in the military and how to support the health and well-being of all service members and veterans. Pennsylvania Children Of The Wounded And Fallen Patriot Scholarship Deadline Is August 1st:
The Pennsylvania Children of the Wounded and Fallen Patriot Scholarship is a one-time $25,000 scholarship awarded to the dependent child of a military service member who was wounded in the line of duty or died while serving with the United States Military since Sept. 11, 2001. Scholarship Aid Available For Disabled Veterans:
DAV Chapter 11, Dickson City, will offer a $500 scholarship to disabled veterans in need of higher education. Applicants must reside between Dickson City and the Simpson area, PA. Write to DAV Scholarship Committee, 901 Enterprise St., Dickson City, PA (Lackawanna County), 18519.

After pulling alongside Ivan Stoltzfus’ tractor at a red light at the intersection of Main and Washington streets in Goshen, a driver stepped out of her car to donate money and snapped a quick photo. “She told me that she wanted to help. Everybody waited on her until she got back in her car. It was so nice. I didn’t want her to get hurt,” Stoltzfus said. Read more.

Package handlers load, unload, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, squat, and move packages of varying weights. If hired, package handlers will be required to unload approximately 1,000 packages per hour, or load as many as 400 packages per hour, at a fast pace and in varying temperatures. Package handlers hours fluctuate, two to five hours per day, five days per week – depending on package volume. Hourly pay ranges from $10.45-$12.05 – depending on shift and location. Apply.
