Kids can learn about the great outdoors at the Youth Field Day at Mammoth Park on Saturday, July 29 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Youth Field Day is a free event sponsored by local volunteers, in conjunction with the Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation and the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Youth ages 8-16 and their parents or guardians can participate in a variety of outdoor activities such as archery, fishing, trap shooting, muzzle loading, and more! Learn how to identify animals including reptiles and amphibians, furbearers and game animals, and take a boating safety course on Mammoth Lake - this event has something for everyone! There will also be several stations featuring local outdoor recreation organizations. A free lunch will be provided to all registered participants.

Mammoth Park is located in Mount Pleasant Township, and is accessible via the Greensburg – Mt. Pleasant Road from Greensburg and via routes 981 and 982 from Latrobe or Mount Pleasant.
