Labor Day Celebration

Northmoreland Park hosts the 37th annual Labor United Celebration on Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 4 and Monday, September 5. Event hours are 11:00am to 7:00pm Sunday, and 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday. There will be lots to do: great music, delicious food, carnival rides, a one-ring circus, games and more! This event has free admission, free parking and free entertainment for all ages!

The Labor United Celebration features lively musical entertainment for the whole family! On Sunday, Shannon and The Merger will perform rock and pop music, with a bit of blues and a pinch of country at 2:30pm and 3:30pm, and The Raiders will be rocking the stage at 5:15pm and 6:15pm. Monday’s entertainment features Black Horse country band playing nostalgic, foot stompin’ honky tonk music at 11:00am and 12:15pm, and Labor Day tradition Chuck Blasko and the Vogues will perform at 3:00pm and 4:30pm. The Vogues are an internationally acclaimed group and will have the audience singing along to their classic hits!

The Zerbini Family Circus, heads the list of variety entertainment at the Labor United Celebration. Circus shows will be held both days; Sunday at 12:00 noon, 3:30pm, and 5:00pm, and Monday at 11:00am, 2:30pm, and 4:30pm. This one-ring circus features clowns, jugglers, aerialists, and performing animals under the big top. The circus shows are offered free of charge!

Also featured is That Guy With The Birds, who will be wowing crowds with his beautiful feathered friends! Sunday show times are 12:00pm, 3:00pm, and 5:00pm; Monday show times are 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm.

Pittsburgh Pirates alumni will be on hand both days for autograph sessions. Bring your cameras and take a photo with a baseball legend!

There will be plenty of fun rides for kids at the celebration. An “All Day Ride Pass” can be purchased for only three dollars, which offers unlimited use of all of the carnival rides, pony rides, petting zoo, horse drawn trolley rides, and kiddie train rides.

Other attractions at the event include bingo, an Arts and Crafts Show featuring over 50 exhibitors, demonstrations by the Westmoreland BMX Association, delicious food and refreshments, and a giant flea market with over 120 vendors.

The Labor United Celebration is presented by the Labor United Celebration, Inc. and the Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation. Northmoreland Park is located in Allegheny Township and is accessible via State Route 356 from State Routes 56, 66 and 28.
