[ARCHIVED] Get outdoors & learn at Mammoth Park Youth Field Day, Saturday July 30!

Youth Field Day

Kids can learn about the great outdoors at the Youth Field Day at Mammoth Park on Saturday, July 30 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Youth Field Day is a free event sponsored by local volunteers, in conjunction with the Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation and the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Youth ages 8-16 and their parents or guardians can participate in a variety of outdoor activities such as archery, fishing, trap shooting, muzzle loading, and more! Learn how to identify animals including reptiles and amphibians, furbearers and game animals, and take a boating safety course on Mammoth Lake - this event has something for everyone! There will also be several stations featuring local outdoor recreation organizations. A free lunch will be provided to all registered participants.

Mammoth Park is located in Mount Pleasant Township, and is accessible via the Greensburg – Mt. Pleasant Road from Greensburg and via routes 981 and 982 from Latrobe or Mount Pleasant.
