Pittsburgh Hiring Expo with Pittsburgh Pirates

Tuesday, May 3, 2016 - 11:00am to 2:00pm

PNC Park 115 Federal St Pittsburgh, PA 15212 United States

Join us for a hiring expo for service members, veterans, and military spouses at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.

All registered veterans and military spouses are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Pirates and Cubs.

Event Schedule:
9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Employment Workshop
9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Employer Workshop
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Hiring Fair

Registered job seekers can upload their resumes to be viewed by employers ahead of the event.

This Hiring Our Heroes employment workshop is led by HR and workforce professionals and covers a variety of topics including resume building, networking, and interview tips, taking into account the job seeker's military background and lifestyle. Hiring Our Heroes digital tools are also integrated into the workshop curriculum.

Employers are invited to attend a best practices workshop sponsored by PNC prior to the hiring fair. PNC will provide insight on how to brand your company as military friendly, how to find the right veteran talent, and how to keep veterans engaged in your workplace. A light breakfast will be served and is free for employers, recruiters, and HR professionals.

This Alcoa Foundation, FedEx, GE, Lockheed Martin, and PNC sponsored hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the Pennsylvania Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Goodwill Industries International, the American Legion, NBC News, and other local partners.
