[ARCHIVED] GO PURPLE--April is Month of the Military Child

April is Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize the sacrifice that the chil-dren and youth of our military personnel make.
Penn State Extension Military Youth Program invites you to join us in the 5th Annual Purple Up! For Military Kids.

We are encouraging everyone across the state and nation to wear purple on Fri-day, April 15th, as a visible way to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices.
Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is the combination of Army Green, Marine Red, and Air Force Blue, Navy Blue, and Coast Guard Blue.
We hope everyone will take this opportunity to appreciate and celebrate these young heroes. Be creative….the goal is for military youth to see the support of their community!
