The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Westmoreland (RACW) is soliciting proposals from qualified third party professionals to provide legal services for its projects.
Such services will include, but not be limited to, records and documentation review, title searches, tax records, judgments, deed notices, liens and encumbrances, rights of ways and easements, restrictive covenants, zoning records, pending lawsuits, subsurface rights, history of ownership and use, abstracts, property maps, notices and unpaid assessments, agreements or orders defining liability, etc.
Services also include any necessary legal work such as providing necessary instruments, conduct any necessary proceedings ( i.e., meetings, closings, transactions, etc.), and do any legal work necessary in order to carry out the projects of the RACW, as requested and authorized from time to time by the RACW Board and/or its Executive Director.
Please provide hourly rates effective January 1, 2016 with a resume and documented experience, highlighting any experience relative to redevelopment law, tax law, property law, contract law, and/or municipal law with three pertinent references. Additionally, these services are to be performed by the Solicitor as an individual and not as a firm and an emphasis is given to availability and priority placement for Authority work.
The procurement of this service shall be made in accordance with the procurement policy of the Westmoreland County CDBG program; competitive negotiations shall be the method of procurement.
