Most people know that having a fall injury such as a hip fracture can be devastating to both the person and their family. But many people do not know that there are steps you can take to reduce your risk of falling. Healthy Steps for Older Adults is a new program to help people prevent falls and improve their lives.
Healthy Steps includes workshops to help older adults make their homes safer, manage their medicines and learn how to improve their strength and balance. Healthy Steps also offers many other resources to help older adults prevent falls.
Healthy Steps for Older Adults will be offered at these centers this spring. Pre-registration is required. To learn more, please call the senior center.
