Effective Friday, August, 1, 2014, the fee to record a Document (except UCC & Notary Documents) will increase by $12.00 due to the passage of ACT 126 of 2014 (HB 278) and ACT 113 of 2014 (HB 1337) .

The Recorder of Deeds office is required to collect this fee, which is utilized by the State to support the Judicial Computer Project/Access to Justice/Criminal Justice Enhancement Account by statute, thus we have zero control over its increase, implementation or existence – we just collect the money for the State.
