Cedar Creek Park
Cedar Creek Park, with its 479 acres, is the premiere access point to the Youghiogheny River for Westmoreland County residents. Cedar Creek Park offers 20 outdoor pavilions, an indoor Activity Center, several sport fields, model radio-controlled airfield, and access to the Great Allegheny Passage regional trail system.

- Pavilion Rental: Cedar Creek Park has 20 pavilions located throughout the park, which accommodate groups of up to 400. Rent a pavilion online here!
- Cedar Creek Dog Park: The Dog Park contains four fenced-in areas for dog owners to let their dogs off leash. Two areas are designed for small dogs and two areas are for larger dogs. Of the four areas, only two will be open at a time and the other two will be closed for maintenance and recovery. There are water fountains for both dogs and people, and dog waste clean-up stations are available. Owners/custodians of a dog are responsible for their dog at all times. - Activity Center: The Cedar Creek Activity Center seats up to 60 people inside and another 40 on an outdoor deck overlooking the river. It also has a kitchen area, restrooms, heating and air conditioning. The Activity Center is available for year-round rental. Visit the online pavilion reservation system to search, reserve, and pay for rentals online.
- Amphitheater: Cedar Creek Park has a beautiful outdoor amphitheater that hosts a free concert series every summer.
- Destination Playground: The destination playground is a wonderful play area for children of all ages and physical abilities. This large play area offers a variety of activities, including swings, slides, mazes, and climbers. There are several activity stations and equipment meets or exceeds all ADA requirements.
- Winter Sports Area: The Winter Sports Area consists of three sledding and tubing runs of varying ability. Designed with health and wellness in mind, there are no lifts back to the top, and sleds and tubes are not provided. Park hours are 9:00 am. to dusk.
- Great Allegheny Passage: This hiking, biking, cross country skiing and equestrian trail follows the Youghiogheny River and passes directly through Cedar Creek Park. The trail is complete from Cedar Creek north to Pittsburgh in Allegheny County (approximately 34 miles) and south to Cumberland, Maryland (approximately 116 miles). There is ample parking and the trail is handicapped accessible.
- Manderino Riverfront Park: Offers river access, a boat launch, fishing, hiking, biking, picnic areas, and an indoor multi-purpose Activity Center.
- Cedar Creek Gorge: Water cascades down the natural shale steps in this deep gorge cut out by Cedar Creek in the northern section of the park.
- Model Radio Controlled Airfield: The Mon Valley R/C Club operates out of Cedar Creek Park. For more information, visit the Mon-Valley R/C Club website. The Mon Valley R/C Air Club hosts several events every year at the Park. Please visit their website for the schedule of events.
- Hunting: Portions of the park are open for hunting. See map for permitted areas.
