Guardianship Cases

The register of wills assigns a judge to guardianship cases when the case is filed. Counsel then presents the petition and scheduling order for a hearing date to the assigned judge. After the judge has signed the scheduling order, the petition must be filed at the Register of Wills office so that it can be docketed and filed.
