Orphans' Court Case Assignments

Orphans’ Court cases are assigned by the Register of Wills to one of three Civil / Orphans’ Court judges.

A miscellaneous judge is responsible on a four months rotating basis to handle audit court, inheritance tax contempt, and other miscellaneous matters.

The miscellaneous judge rotation for 2022 will be as follows:

January - April ;  Judge Scherer
   
May - August ;   Judge Smail
  
September - December ;  President Judge Hathaway
