Caregiver Relief Programs
Volunteers assist Westmoreland County seniors by providing much needed services. These services include but are not limited to: Friendly Visits, Appointment Escort, Handy Person/Minor Repairs, Telephone Reassurance, Caregiver Relief, Errands/Shopping, Referral Assistance, and Yard Work/Gardening. Friendly visitors may share a hobby or a cup of coffee, but most importantly, they listen to and talk with those who need companionship.
Services are in many local communities and days and times of availability may differ depending on the location. The Laurel Area Program is independent from five others that are operated by the United Way of Westmoreland County.
