Mammoth Park Giant Slide Complex

The Mammoth Park slide complex has been temporarily closed for an indefinite amount of time to evaluate concerns brought to the Parks Department attention. Thanks for your understanding!

This one-of-a-kind destination facility includes two, approximately 100-foot long stainless steel "racing" slides and a 40-foot long plastic slide for younger visitors. Climbing back to the top is just as fun and challenging as the ride down with a "scramble" climbing path and cargo net. This facility is ADA-accessible with seating, natural landscaping, and plenty of photo opportunities.

On November 4, 2018, Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation celebrated the original Mammoth Park Giant Slide’s 45-year history at the “Last Slide Ride” event.  This event was visitors’ last chance to ride the original Giant Slide before it closed to make way for the new slide facility. The original Giant Slide had been a part of local fun for more than two generations, and enjoyed by thousands of children and adults.
