Community Based Monitoring

This program supervises juveniles in need of a more structured supervision option in order to remain in the community. Juveniles attend a minimum of 20 hours mandatory group sessions with other clients involved in the program at a frequency of one every other week to allow for groups of no more than 25 each. Groups are a minimum of two hours per session and focus on their goals as well as provide the opportunity for clients to learn pro-social interactions within peer situations. Victims of juvenile crime and victim sensitivity issues are involved in the group process. Victim input plays a vital role within the group setting. Where victim issues are discussed, a representative from the Westmoreland County Victim Services is in attendance.
