Providing Affordable Housing and Support Services For Seniors

Scottdale Court is a project of Homes Build Hope, a private, not-for-profit organization providing affordable housing and support services to individuals and families in need. This newly dedicated facility, located at 232 South Broadway Avenue in the Borough of Scottdale, offers 32 affordable apartment units for seniors, as well as covered private parking, large common areas and recreational activities.

The site, located at 210, 226 and 232 South Broadway in the commercial district of Scottdale once consisted of dilapidated structures which were demolished, along with a portion of the property containing old existing gas tanks that involved cleaning and remediation, to make way for construction of the senior housing project.

Scottdale Court was funded by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency’s HOME Investment Partnership Program through the Westmoreland County Department of Planning and Community Development. This project has been brought to you by Homes Build Hope, Inc., Scottdale Housing , LP and PNC Bank. The contractor was Continental Building Systems of Harrisburg.
