Dog License
- A dog is required to be licensed as early as three months of age.
- Applications are available at your local post office, your veterinarian's office, magistrate office, or can be down-loaded from this website or from the Department of Agriculture's website.
- If your pet has lost a current licensed dog tag or a permanent lifetime tag, you may purchase a duplicate tag for $1.50.
- The transfer of a dog between two individuals requires a notarized document submitted by the new owner and a $1 fee is charge by the Treasurer's Office.
Annual dog licenses are valid from January 1st through December 31st of each year. 2023 Dog licenses go on sale on December 1, 2022.

Fees
- $8.50 for a male or female
- $6.50 for a neutered male or spayed female
Senior Citizen Dog License Fees
- $6.50 for a male or female
- $4.50 for a neutered male or spayed female
Disabled Person's Dog License Application
You should provide a copy of your Social Security Disability or SSI award letter.Person with a disability is as follows:
- "a person who receives disability insurance or supplemental security income for the aged, blind or disabled under the Social Security Act (49 Stat. 620, 42 U.S.C. Section 301 et seq.), or who receives a rent or property tax rebate under the act of March 11, 1971 (P.L. 104, No. 3), known as the Senior Citizens Rebate and Assistance Act, on account of disability, or who has a handicapped plate under 75 PA.C.S. Section 1338 (relating to handicapped plate and placard)."
Disabled Person's Dog License Fees

Lifetime Dog License
- Dog owners must have their dog microchipped or tattooed to qualify for a lifetime license.
- Both forms must be submitted by the dog owner with cash/check or money order payable to County Treasurer. The forms must be returned within 30 days.
