The Department of Public Safety has developed a Hazard Mitigation Plan for Westmoreland County. The Hazard Mitigation Plan is a very important document that will assist Westmoreland County in applying for Federal Emergency Management Agency hazard mitigation grants whenever those monies become available.
We are posting the Hazard Mitigation Plan to our website for public review and comment. We are interested in hearing from residents of Westmoreland County who my have constructive comments or ideas for making this plan a useful and constantly evolving document.
