The Human Services department’s staff works to provide hope and a better quality of life for residents of Westmoreland County.  In partnership with the community, we coordinate and sustain efforts that assure safety, equity, access and well-being for all.  Our programs include:

Area Agency on Aging staff help seniors access services to maintain health and independence.

Behavioral Health and Developmental Services provides opportunities for individuals to choose appropriate services and supports to promote quality of life and inclusion in the community. 

The Children's Bureau protects children and preserves families whenever possible.

The Juvenile Detention/Shelter provides temporary secure care for juveniles awaiting disposition of the court.
