Ferrier Life Trail

The Ferrier Life Trail is a 1900-foot paved walking and jogging trail around the Twin Lakes Park Expansion with 7 fitness stations along the way. There are three different exercises at each fitness station, including one wheelchair accessible exercise. The Ferrier Life Trail is scientifically designed for people aged 50 and older, but anyone of any age can use it. Funding for this project was provided by the Ferrier Family Legacy Fund of the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, affiliated with the Pittsburgh Foundation.

The Life Trail Advanced Wellness System with its walking/jogging path and 7 fitness stations is built on the principles of functional fitness; the progressively challenging exercises are patterned after the twists, turns and movements of everyday life. For a more detailed look of the exercises available on the Ferrier Life Trail, check out these Life Trail Exercise Demonstrations

Download and print an activity log progress book (provided by our partner Excela Health) so you can keep track of your improvement!
