Assistance Programs and Services
Westmoreland County offers advanced training opportunities that benefit both workers and employers through the Commonwealth's Workforce Development System (CWDS) and Pennsylvania CareerLink.

CareerLink is a one-stop center that provides an array of career and workforce development services as mandated by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.

Let’s Get To Work

Westmoreland County's primary office of PA CareerLink is located on the Youngwood campus of Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC) in the Business and Industry Center.

It is operated under the auspices of the Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board as a joint venture by the PA Department of Labor and Industry, the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland / Fayette, Inc., and WCCC.

Discover JobGateway®
Launched in July, 2012, JobGateway® is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s initiative to transform the landscape of how job-seekers find family sustaining jobs and how employers find the skilled candidates that they need.  Through this initiative, a user-friendly, premiere job-matching system has been created to help bridge the gap that currently exists between job-seekers and employers.  See how a free JobGateway® account can help you.
