Prison Earns Total Compliance from Department of State
The Westmoreland County Prison is to be acknowledged for earning TOTAL COMPLIANCE with the essential and non-essential standards as required by Title 37 (Standards for Local Adult Detention facilities) in their recent Prison inspection on November 27, 2012, by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (Office of County Inspection and Services).

Warden John Walton and the entire Westmoreland County Prison staff are proud of this accomplishment and deserve credit for their diligence in operating the Westmoreland County Prison according to statewide correctional standards.

Likewise, the Westmoreland County Prison board and the citizens of Westmoreland County merit praise for their understanding of this critical public safety function within their community.

This is the third time in the last three inspections that the Westmoreland County Prison has achieved total compliance.
