John Peck
Background / Bio
John W. Peck was appointed District Attorney by the Westmoreland County Board of Judges in 1994, and elected to four successive terms as District Attorney. Peck has served in the district attorney's office for 31 years. He is a graduate of the University of Texas and Duquesne University School of Law. Peck still personally prosecutes criminal cases. He is married to Cynthia Serluco Peck. Their children are John W. Peck, S.J., and Lorin Taylor Peck.

Responsibilities / Services
The district attorney's office is committed to effectively and fairly representing the victims of crimes and the citizens of Westmoreland County before the criminal courts. The office both prosecutes and investigates crimes ranging from homicide cases demanding the death penalty to crimes of rape, child sexual and physical abuse, and theft.

The staff understands its mandate to assist and support the victims of crime and the families of victims in our efforts to achieve justice for the citizens of Westmoreland County.
