Paid Subscription Service

General Information:

In order to better serve the professional community that requires all details from Westmoreland County's tax parcel system or tax mapping systems, Westmoreland County is making a special Web GIS system available under its current fee based public access subscription service for an additional $15.00 per month. The subscribed portion of this Web site is similar to the free Westmoreland County Tax Parcels view map system but with greater functionality and data availability.

To register for this service click the back button to complete the registration form. The fee is $25.00 per month and you need to sign a one year contract which will automatically renew each year unless you cancel it within 30 days of the renewal date. All contracts will automatically renew November 30 of each year. The $25.00 monthly fee allows you access to all our public systems with 50 minutes of access time per month. Access time exceeding the 50 minutes will be billed at $.50 per minute. Access to the GIS tax mapping web site is not timed and you are not billed by the minute so you have unlimited access time to the GIS Web site but it is an additional $15.00 per month. Once you submit the form more information will be sent to you in addition to the required contracts for signature. This service is being provided as a convenience to the professional community to save you time and costs normally associated with obtaining this type of data. As we add more data layers to the web site they will be automatically made available to you. In some cases if those layers are made available for downloading additional charges may apply. If additional charges do apply you will be notified as a subscriber of this service. More details will be provided at a latter date.

Paid Subscription Service Offers the Following:

View GIS Data

View various GIS tax mapping layers including digital aerial photography.

Download GIS Data

Automatically download up to 500 parcels in ESRI shape file format per month. The subscriber simply selects a parcel(s) from the map and uses the "extract tool" that provides a hyperlink to download the data. The GIS parcel data is downloaded as a zip file. In addition, the parcels contain the assessment attribute data. Subscribers will be billed the current authorized rates for the downloaded parcel data which currently is $1.05 per parcel polygon for government and non-profit organizations and $2.55 per parcel polygon for private organizations. Interactive GIS Mapping Tools

The subscriber has more GIS functionality on the interactive map than the non-subscribed users. Some of the tools that can be applied on the GIS data are buffer, measure, find, select, and much more. There also navigation tools that allow the user to zoom in/out of the map as well as pan. In addition, the subscriber can view and query detailed tax assessment data that is linked to the parcel features.
