Hazmat Respone Team

Westmoreland County Hazardous Materials Response Team 800 and the Department of Public Safety were joined September 28 by the Westmoreland County Commissioners for a ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate and officially place Hazard 800 in service. Hazard 800 will not only be an asset to Westmoreland County's 65 municipalities and nearly 400 chemical facilities and over a thousand square miles of mixed industrial and agricultural processes that all use hazardous materials to include railways highways and water ways but also available to respond to surrounding counties within the region.
